Working closely with our editorial team, You will control the entire online portfolio, expanding and enriching our online presence through the strategic and integrated use of social media. The website's primary purpose is to drive more print and online sales, subscriptions, ad sales and awareness of the brand. Must have proven experience as a writer in the online sphere.
ONLINE EDITOR - Elle Decoration
DUTIES
- Produce one - two compelling and on-trend post per day
- Tweet 4 x per weekday, 2 x per day on Sat and Sun
- Monitor our Facebook and Pinterest site and post something every day
- Demonstrate knowledge of SEO and organise and present web content accordingly
- Seek out opportunities to bring clients and suppliers onto the web, and collaborate with sales and marketing to develop revenue-making streams for their clients online
- Find ways to make the website generate revenue
- Build the number of monthly visitors to the site
- Seek new ways to engage and interact with users, using polls, competitions etc
- Generate all marketing posts, and assist on sourcing competitions
- Moderate comments from online readers on FB, blog and Twitter
- Update online content elsewhere on the site where appropriate
- Attend launches and events and be public face of magazine's online presence
- Keep abreast of global trends and happenings and tie in with online coverage where appropriate
- Take pictures for online content as needed
- Must come form a writer or features background
The ideal candidate will hold a degree or diploma in journalism or English studies and have three - five years' relevant experience, preferably in the consumer magazine market. The incumbent must have an understanding and passion for the décor and design industry
