Poetry and Fiction Writing Workshop (organized by the Foundation for Contemporary Art - Ghana and the Gird Center)

Join the Gird Center's Poetry and Fiction Workshops. Facilitators this month are Famia Nkansa and Nana Oforiatta-Ayim. The workshop will hold on Saturday, March 30th, at the DuBois Center.

Famia Nkansa, the Communications Officer at the Golden Baobab, has years of experience as a speechwriter, blogger and biographer. Famia studied Psychology and Creative Writing at Stanford University. Her novel on the concept of home will be published next year.

Nana Oforiatta-Ayim Cultural is a historian, writer, and filmmaker. She had a PhD on Ayan or Drum Poetics under an  AHRC scholarship. She is the founder of the platform A-N-O, which integrates film, writing, curating, publication and research led projects that explore the construction of narratives and meaning. She has worked with African arts publisher Revue Noire in Paris and has written extensively on contemporary African cultures.
