Flow Communications (SA) Needs a Senior Sub-editor

The company has grown significantly in the past four years, and we now have offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Our clients include the Nelson Mandela Foundation (www.nelsonmandela.org), Cape Town Tourism (www.capetown.travel), Maropeng (www.maropeng.co.za) and Etana Insurance (www.etana.co.za), among many others.

We are looking for a senior sub-editor with at least ten years' experience. The job involves subbing a range of copy from short blog posts to extensive annual reports, for a variety of audiences and for both web sites and printed materials. It promises wide variety, a pleasant and dynamic work environment, and opportunities for personal growth.

The job is a full-time permanent position. Flow offers a competitive package, dependent on skills and experience.

RequirementsExcellent subbing skills (a passion for punctuation and sweating the small stuff) and loads of experience (ten years).
  • Degree in journalism or related field.
  • Good team player.
  • Creative thinker and self-motivated.
  • Experience subbing online copy and working on the back end of websites.
  • A creative problem-solver who can work well in a team of writers, web designers and strategists, but who also values accuracy and perfection.
