DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The academic department is responsible for managing the GetSmarter product - the courses. The academic department develops new courses from conception to launch. The role of an academic officer includes the following responsibilities:
- proofing and editing content during new course development and review;
- review existing courses and oversee all changes and updates;
- write marketing articles;
- edit all company communication (e.g. emails, newsletters and process documents);
- prepare and teach English lessons to GetSmarter staff.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: University degree in English, linguistics, creative writing, or media studies.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- 40-hour working week;
- work is normally performed in a typical office work environment, but may involve attendance at meetings out of office;
- overtime and after-hours work will be required.
POSITION IN COMPANY: The academic officer will report to the academic manager.
