Call for Worlwide Applications: 2013 Civitella Ranieri Residency in Italy (under UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists Programme)

(Note: The UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists Programme is open to young professional international writers and visual artists, except for those who were born within the United States and England. Candidates must be between 25–35 years of age. English is the common language at The Center therefore the Laureate must be able to speak English reasonably well.)

CIVITELLA RANIERI CENTER RESIDENCY

A residency is available, by application, for one writer and one visual artist at the Civitella Ranieri Center in 2013 through our collaboration with the UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists Programme.

The Civitella Ranieri Foundation will provide the two selected UNESCO-Aschberg Laureates with an apartment, work space, and two meals six days per week for a six-week residency. UNESCO-Aschberg will provide and manage the travel arrangements, which includes a round-trip airline ticket at best rates in economy class. The Laureates may choose one of four sessions in our residency season, based on availability, which runs from May through October, 2013.

The application deadline will be November 15th and the Laureates will be contacted in early January, 2013.

All applicants will need to upload a 3-page CV/resume/bio and a brief description of their work in general. Writers will upload one PDF document with up to 15 pages of prose or poetry. Visual artists will upload up to 8 jpeg images, or a YouTube or Vimeo link to video work. All applications and submissions should be in English.
