Editor Wanted for The Crest Magazine (Durban, South Africa)

The Crest magazine is looking for a passionate, creative and talented Editor (6-month contract). The applicant must have relevant editorial experience in both print and digital media. The ideal candidate would be a part of the Upper Highway community either through business or personal.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Creation and commissioning of all editorial content for print and online title in line with agreed standards, on time and against budget
  • Develop editorial content plan for each fiscal with sales team
DUTIES:
  • Create and commission articles from writers and photographers. Be able to write, sub, and rewrite, as well as follow up with writers where required
  • Regularly update community website
  • Manage editorial budget
  • Liaise with sales division on features
  • Represent the magazine in the public arena, industry and with readers
  • Plan and manage regular editorial meetings
