JOB TITLE: Agri Editor
EDUCATION: A tertiary qualification in Journalism/Media Studies or other relevant fields
EXPERIENCE: Have vast knowledge, insight and interest into the agricultural industry and/or related fields. Experience in journalism/communications/marketing field would be an advantage
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Executing content strategy (identify news, gather and present content) for agricultural sections in the different media platforms of radio broadcast, print and websites.
- Editing of the monthly Agri Eco newspaper.
- Computer and digital literate
- Be in possession of a code B driver’s licence. Own transport essential.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans essential
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Identify news, gather and present content for all the agricultural platforms within the Group of Companies.
- Be skilled in delivering multimedia such as images, video, audio clips, etc.
- Have an extensive contact network in the agricultural and/or related fields
- Have a working knowledge of social media such as Twitter, Facebook etc.
